Fresh off some exciting team racing this summer, including our wresting the Lindsay Cup back from the other island, I know you all are eagerly anticipating the final event of the season, the 52th annual Cross Rip Trophy (give or take a couple of decades of no competition…) 

It will be held Saturday, August 17th, in Sonars, most likely from 9 am to 3 pm.  This is an exciting round robin event in which skippers rotate through boats such that each sails with each crew, and an award is given both to the best skipper and best crew.  Depending on the wind, we’ll sail with spinnakers. 

Please indicate your interest by registering by August 14th. One note: we absolutely want to see new faces among the faces we know so well, but we may need to make choices as we seek to equalize the crew pairings and make sure we have spinnaker expertise on every boat.  But don’t let that deter you!  Come on out for a great day!

A light breakfast will be available before the race.  Lunch will be served on the water, and beers on the deck after.
