From Boston, Providence and New Bedford Driving from Boston. Take I-95 South for roughly 8 miles. Take
Route 24 for approximately 20 miles. Take I-495
East to the Bourne Bridge. Go over the Bourne Bridge to Cape Cod.
Once on Cape Cod, go one quarter of the way around the rotary, then go South
on Route 28. This road goes from two lanes to one lane as you approach
Falmouth. Take a right at the end of Route 28 and follow the road to
Woods Hole. The road ends at the Steamship Authority parking lot.
Ask the attendant where to park (8 dollars per calendar day). You will
likely be sent to an outer parking lot where a free shuttle will return you
to the ferry terminal (allow for 20 minutes). Driving from New York. Take I-95 North to I-195
East in Providence. Take exit 22A towards “Cape Cod/The Islands” which will
drop you on I-495 East. Take I-495 East to the
Bourne Bridge. Go over the Bourne Bridge to Cape Cod. Once on
Cape Cod, go one quarter of the way around the rotary, then go South on Route
28. This road goes from two lanes to one lane as you approach Falmouth.
